It doesn’t really matter, personal choice. The stuff on cars that breaks is basically the same.

Honda decides to sell a new model civic in North America. They build a factory somewhere, and the factory contracts out manufacturing of all the accessories like air flow sensors, gaskets, fuel tanks etc.

Now Toyota decides to sell a new model Camry in North America, they do the same thing.

All the factory does is assemble parts. Different manufacturers may even use the same supplier, and in some cases the same parts. At any rate the raw materials used are often the same by multiple parts suppliers.

Hence the idea of Chevy’s are crap, Honda’s last forever, Kia’s are cheap is in most cases ridiculous.
Occasionally you get something like a poorly designed transmission with syncrhos failing early or a poorly designed valve assembly. But most of the things people complain about are blown head gaskets, and leaky oil seals, or cheaply made interiors. Little to do with the functionality of the parts actually designed and made by the particular brand.
