I just had a brand new engine put in my toyota corrola. I want to add a turbo to it. What kind of turbo would i need and where would i get it. I would like to know the amount to and if there are any extra accessories i need. I just want to improve horsepower about 50. Nothing major. So a cheaper turbo would be fine. Also want to add a duel exhaust would this give more horsepower and the price on that.
I have a 2002 toyota corolla. Like i said i put about 8k in the car to have everything rebuilt as new. So i will need a new exhaust.
what is your email?
No i had a brand new engine put in never used or rebuilt. It cost $4800.
The toyota i have has had everything new put on it except a transmission. The car has had about 12 grand put into it. Even if not worth it its small and light good acceleration. i have a body shop that does my work. Ive been looking around and ive seen turbos for $900.
The main question is what parts do i need. I need a complete list so i just go buy. Im thinking of tryin and installing turbo myself and having tuned afterwards.

I have an 87 toyota tercel. When replacing the blades, there is a screw that is missing, which keeps the blades from flipping then flying off (kinda important). This part does not come with replacemet wipers. (I’ve checked and checked…) Does anyone know where I might find this screw? I’ve been to Home Depot and trial-and-errored three screws. Right now I have one that kinda (not really) works, and I’d like to find the actual one intended for said purpose.

I am buying a 2005 Toyota Rav4 with 12,000mi. There is currently a warranty on that car already for 72 months/100,000 miles. I want to make sure that I can have that warranty as well. I know that in some cases and with some cars that only part of the warranty transfers to the new owner.

How could I raise my 92 toyota pickup cheaply?
Filed Under toyota | 3 Comments
I have a 92 toyota pickup with stock tires, shocks, and body kit. It looks kind of lame being so low. So, I am trying to find the best way to raise it to a good height. Would replacing the shocks with bigger ones give me space to put on bigger tires?

Toyota to Slash 2009 Sales Outlook, Cut Costs
Filed Under toyota | Comments Off
Toyota Motor Corp. (ADR:TM) may not need a government bailout, but it’s hurting badly.
The world’s top automaker said it will announce a revised 2009 sales forecast at its end-of-the-year news conference Dec. 22. The company is expected to slash at least 1 million cars from its original forecast of 9.7 million units, Reuters reported.
It’s also expected to outline cost cutting measures that could include laying off employees, suspending plant operations, delaying the opening of new plants, and cutting the budget for research and development.
According to several Japanese media outlets, Toyota plans to eliminate bonuses for its executives and is expected to post a second-half loss.
One analyst believes the company’s dividend also could be on the chopping block.
“We anticipate that even Toyota could see its post-dividend cash flow turn negative should it keep its dividends at 140 yen,” Morgan Stanley (MS) analyst Noriaki Hirakata wrote in a report. “Thus, in this perfect storm, we expect the firm to cut its dividend to 100 yen per share for this business year.”
That’s a gigantic step backwards from last year, when Toyota took the crown from General Motors Corp. (GM) as world’s largest automaker by selling 9.37 million cars worldwide.
But like all automakers - and nearly every major industry - Toyota has been crippled by a worldwide dearth in demand, brought on by a whirlwind of job losses, devalued property, lack of credit and falling stock markets.
From January to October this year, Toyota sold 7.74 million vehicles. And during its fiscal first half - six months ended September 30 - net revenues fell 6.3% compared to the same period last year.
Year-to-date, Toyota’s New York-listed ADR shares have fallen about 38%, still much better than GM and Ford Motor Co.’s (F) respective stock declines of 83% and 53%. But recently, Toyota’s ADR shares have been moving forward in hopes that the U.S. government will bailout Detroit’s Big Three - GM, Ford and Chrysler LLC - because that would shore up the auto industry’s underpinnings: Dealerships and parts and supply manufacturers.
The United States is also the largest market for most foreign automakers. Allowing one or all of the Big Three to go under would add millions to the running unemployment numbers and deepen the recession, making the U.S. market less likely to buy their cars.

Car of the Future Created By Toyota
Filed Under toyota | Comments Off
Toyota sure does have a lot of surprises up its sleeve. But it would not be quite surprising if it does. After all, we do know that the Toyota Motor Corporation can be considered as one of the biggest and strongest companies in the industry right now. And with great power comes great responsibility and perhaps the company believes that it is their responsibility to produce vehicles that would astound and make the public happy. Sure, they do create remarkable stuff from Toyota Sequoia original parts to fine Toyota accessories to exemplary vehicles but now the company would like to show the motoring public a glimpse of what the future holds.
The company would be showing off soon the Toyota Fine-N vehicle which is actually a hydrogen fuel cell concept car. And according to Toyota, this kind of vehicle would soon be filling the roads and streets of our future. This vehicle would be part of the main displays that Toyota South Africa would be sending off at the Auto Africa 2006 exhibit. The event would be held at Johannesburg’s Expo Center and would be starting from the 26th of October up until the 5th of November.
As per the Toyota Fine-N, you would see that this vehicle has for four doors and it comes with a four wheel drive system for a better driving response. The company also boasts of its design and potential performance for all fuel cell vehicles that would be coming in the future. The wheels of the vehicle have got their very own electric motors and these are powered right from the Toyota fuel cell stack and its lithium ion battery. And its power source could be able to produce some 25 kW and 110 Nm of torque. You would find the fuel cell stack, the lithium ion battery, and the rest of the vehicle’s power control unit all beneath the floor. This is primarily because Toyota believes that by doing such, there would be more floor space for the vehicle’s occupants and passengers. Versatile, the Toyota Fine-N would be a vehicle to look out for.

Toyota Financial Services - 10 Added Benefits
Filed Under toyota | Comments Off
As the world is awakening to several luxuries with emerging technology, the vehicle manufacturing companies are now offering financing services on your new vehicle. It adds great privilege that the manufacturer itself is offering the vehicle finance.
Toyota Financial Services is one such offer. Here are the key features of this vehicle financing service:
1. This service offers both buying and leasing services, simplifying the process for the consumer.
2. One of the highlighted features of these services is the online accountancy services. With a secure log, you can check your accounts at the convenience of your home or office. This can be done by any computer that too fully secured. Hence, you do not have to wait for the account statement until the end of the month. All this is possible through the specialized online website of the company.
3. The leasing option in this service includes several facilities like lesser down payments. Leasing options in this case work differently. They allow for the following:
i. Reduced monthly payments based on the projected mileage.
ii. The ability to purchase it at the end of the lease.
iii. The ability to trade in the vehicle.
iv. Getting rid of the problems regarding trade in or selling the vehicle, whenever you want.
v. Options to purchase a new truck or car.
4. Toyota Financial Services cater to many experts leasing the low mileage drivers. These drivers like to change their vehicle quite frequently yet drive a warranted vehicle always.
5. Leasing also allows you the customization of the vehicle before leasing, but the customization gets limited after the vehicle’s possession is taken.
6. This is also a typical penalty on exceeding the total mileage totals indicated as per the contract. This makes leasing quite impractical for the users who drive large distances on a regular basis.
7. The Toyota Financial Services also offer financing on used and new Toyota vehicles. This service is also available for the used vehicles bought taken from the Toyota dealers, different from the manufacturer.
8. The company website features an easily usable payment calculator that helps you evaluate estimated amounts, that is the monthly payments payable on the used or new vehicles, depending on several factors like the initial cash payment or the down payment, the financial time, applicable rebates, dealer incentives, etc.
9. The website of Toyota Financial Services holds a very exclusive feature. Simply key in the amounts of the monthly payments you would like to give, the down payment you want to give and the duration of purchase or lease. As a result the website would generate a list of products or vehicles segregated in terms of truck, car and SUV, and the approximate monthly payment for each of these vehicles.
10. This website also features some additional information about the credit terms & definitions like - credit options, considerations prior to purchasing the vehicle, leasing using credit, etc.

So I have an 84 Toyota pickup and I went to take the steering wheel off to replace it the other day and after I took the front horn panel off there was, what seemed to be a lock or something. It looked brass and rectangular and it seemed to be holding the wheel on even after I removed the center nut. Anyone have any tips?
